Look in the BIOS under the Sata configuration and set it to RAID. When your computer is booting up you should press control + i (depends on your mobo) and it'll take you to the raid setup menu.

No, achi comes with raid.

no you need it in RAID mode. RAID mode has all the advantages of AHCI mode.

And I have a mini guide here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1227670/how-to-set-up-raid

i followed this guide.

achi is within raid, meaning if raid is enabled so is achi. You might however need to reformat if you get BSOD's after making a raid array. This time with it being set to RAID instead of ACHI.

will it matter that I have the OS on the ssd already? and a data hard drive??

should i unplug both hard drives , Raid 0 the 2 raptors and plug the ssd and data drive again?

Try booting it in RAID now, chances are you will BSOD before windows loads. Simply disconnect all of your drives other than the SSD and install windows and then plug them all in again but make sure your SATA is set to RAID and not ACHI.
