in other side you have that 7950 is power efficient, ocer, cooler, faster than single 480GTX with slightly bottleneck but high price tongue.gif

That and his PSU I don't believe can handle SLI 480's

So not only would he drop $420 on GPU's, but at least another $120 on a PSU.

If the 7950 doesn't bottleneck then yes 480's would have more oomph. But at much higher power consumption.

right. my resoulution will be only 1920x1080 only and i really dont need a 3d it would make me feel dizzy lol. i will use DVi cable, also i dont need a sli or crossfire. just a Single video card that max out dirt 3 and bf3

What does max out mean to you? Obviously max settings but what FPS?

If you don't mind dips into the 40s the 7950 should get a solid 50-60 average. At least that is what my 7970 does. But I haven't used the 12.3 drivers yet

I have always wondered this. Does cfx/sli cause a bigger bottleneck compared to a single card of equal performance?
