So... there's really no incentive to go CE over Digital Delux unless you are just a hardcore GW2 nerd before you've even played the game... OK then.

Guess they're trying to avoid what happened to GW1 collector edition boxes, where people all wanted them just for the glowing hands / mini pets and people were constantly selling accounts (and getting scammed) for hundreds of dollars just for those silly cosmetic in game items.

Wanna know the funny thing about the CE? They charge $150 for it, yet Blizzard who puts more into their CE versions, hard cover books, in game stuff, mouse pads, card game packs, making of DVD/Bluray, music soundtrack CD, etc yet they only charge $79.99. Then look at Diablo 3, add all that AND a skull with a 4Gb flash drive, STILL only $79.99....... Doh looks like Diablo 3 will be $99, still $50 cheaper though.

It's almost like GW2 CE has a steel book, making of book, 5 physical art work pieces, and a frame for them, a soundtrack CD, and the figure, as well as all the DD edition content. rolleyes.gif I don't mean to be that guy, but while it is pricey, don't act like Blizzard puts exponentially more content into their CE's. The CE for SCII was greatly designed and appropriately priced, but a 10" Raynor or Thor sculpture would have made it an easy sell for the same price point as GW2.

Charge you monthly?

Both Guild Wars 2 and Diablo 3 have no sub fee.

I agree the price is way to high, I'm not sure the reasoning behind it, most likely the statue...but I'd rather have a CE without it for 100$ and I might buy.

I will wait for high quality photos of the statue before deciding if $150 is too high. If it's really good quality, $150 can be easily justified for hardcore fans.

It just doesn't interest me though, I know that many people will get the CE regardless.
