There are some good laptops for gaming that are around 5lbs. including the power brick. Now something like the Sager 7280 or 9280 (whatever it is now) is like 20lbs with the power brick.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Good thing I waited for a few more replies before I pulled the trigger on the Asus K5. Right now, I'm thinking of getting the Ideapad for $799, but at the same time someone said the i5 performed better than the i7 in someway which is the HP one.

Hm... the HP one is $719 and the Lenovo one is $799 they're pretty much both in budget. I just wanna make the most out of my money.

After looking at both I would go for the HP. For $80 more you are getting a somewhat better CPU and 2GB extra RAM for a smaller pc (14" vs 15.6") with less resolution (1366x768 vs 1920x1080) on the screen. Not worth the money. For gaming the i5 will do just as well as the i7. If you were doing more CPU intensive tasks then maybe the i7 may be better but for general gaming and work the i5 would be better.
