That box looks like they played "keep away" with it it Thingy. How nervous were you opening it lol? Not bad on the backlight bleed at minimum though.

It wasn't too bad actually. Inside, the box was wrapped in like 4 layers of bubble wrap, and the monitor box was intact. I took the pictures though, just in case I had to make a claim with the shipper/seller. smile.gif

Yea, given the amount of empty space in some of the other unboxings I have seen I figured it had sufficient padding inside of it. I still would have had an "oh lawds" moment or three though. Any chance on a pixel response test?

Customs for me took about a day, then it was delivered the next day. Mine was in customs in San Francisco, and I live in Sacramento, so it was a short trip.

Just got mine from cool-guys.

The good news: panel was packed well, shipping was quick (4 days), it works and looks nice.

The bad news:
1) There were a couple of loose screws inside.
2) The stand is beyond horrid. Mine seems to be defective as it won't even hold the monitor upright after a few minutes. I'm going to contact the seller about this.
3) There seems to be one or two dead pixels (contrary to the "perfect pixel" claim), and also a bit of dust under the panel.
4) The AC adapter hums a bit during operation.

Thanks for posting.

1) ouch, do you think you'll get in there and take them out/put them in the holes they belong in?
2) could have happened during shipping? a vesa mount wouldn't be too much of a problem to attach though, right?
3) damn, guess it's just as much of a gamble as the other models/sellers.
4) not too worried about this one myself, are you using something along with the one it came with to make it work with the plug type used in the US?
Ok, upon closer inspection, it seems like there are actually around 7 dead pixels (they could be dust inside the panel, I'm not 100% sure).

Sigh. Time to contact customer support.

I had that issue with the stand as well as I thought I could take advantage of the double jointed stand to lower the monitor further but it would topple under its own weight. I then tried to raise it to the point it was meant to be extended to, when I thought it was fully extended it still dropped back down and almost toppled again. I had to get some extra hands to hold the stand down while I took the panel to fully extend the first joint at the base. It needs to be extended until there is no gap otherwise it'll fall back down on its own or topple under its' own weight.

There doesn't seem to be any kind of locking mechanism and its resistance is questionable so long term the stand may give problems. VESA mount should be quite simple since it looks like the screen is attached the stand via the VESA mount.

only difference i can tell between the two is a different (less crappy?) stand. but does not seem worth the extra $50. inputs seem to be the same.
