Got my super PB2700 S-IPS today !! woot no dead/stuck pixels and its absolutely gorgeous.

448

It was packaged in foam instead of the usual brown paper

448

Bubble wrap inside the box also

448

Lemon sticker on back LOL

very nice very nice

277

Super PB2700 and 24" benq v4200

Overall I am more than happy with purchasing one of these beauties and I would recommend anyone on the fence to jump over now! .. Bigcroft was a great seller and I will buying another monitor from him some time soon.. I will be looking at desk mounts now since this stand sits a little lower than my benq..

I want to thank everyone who posted in this thread and other threads regarding these Korean monitors, you defiantly made my decision to purchase one that much easier.. Thanks..

I am still playing around with Witcher 2 settings so i can't give you a clear answer but as expected UberSampling is not possible.
I did disable anti-aliasing figuring that at 2560x1440 this is less of an issue.

I know but the 1440 screenies look so good >.>;;;;;;;; so I always feel inclined to ask biggrin.gif

Here we go.

The box was wrapped in protective bubble stuff, quite thick as well.

Inside the box was tightly packed as well.

And on my desk it looks stunning. Played a few 1080P movies and it's just awesome.

Xojdv.jpg

Not a dead pixel in sight, and pretty much no backlight bleed that I can see. The only niggle was the protection plastic on the bezel being caught inside along most of the top and a bit of the left hand side, but I managed to pull it out fine. No weird noises coming from it or anything, and the screen isn't as reflective as I thought it would be.

Only thing I could do with is a decent colour profile.

And yes I have a picture of me and my girlfriend on my desk. smile.gif

Mine also arrived Monday morning. Shipping was extremely fast. Left Korea Friday and DHL was at my door before I could make my morning coffee Monday. Mine was also packaged in the protective plastic wrap. Looks like bigclothcraft finally did away with the brown paper packaging. The monitor is gorgeous. No dead pixels or backlight bleeding. The stand is sturdy. My 5770 is on the incompatible list but it is chugging along just fine as well as powering a 22" samsung for a dual monitor setup. I was worried I would have to shell out another 300-400 for a video card but I tested all of my games at native resolution + high settings + AA and was shocked that they all ran perfectly fine. The only game I had to turn down settings for is BF3 but I stopped playing it months ago so no big deal. Think I can make it another 6-12 months before a gpu upgrade and I'll have much better options to choose from by then. All in all I'm very happy with my purchase and would certainly recommend it to anyone who is on the fence.

So..

Will a i5-2500k @ 4.5 + GTX 570 OC be able to drive these monitors in games? (BF3 etc)

i think it should be fine.
Check this: Tom's HW Best Graphics Cards For The Money: April they list the GeForce GTX 570 as comparable to the (now available and cheaper) Radeon 7850.
The 7850 itself is noted as: Excellent 1920x1200 performance, Good 2560x1600 performance in most games with lowered detail
so if it is indeed comparable and yours is OCed, i think you should be fine.

For the users of the new and shiny screen, did you change your method of working on your desktop with all that extra space and the glossy bright image?
After a few days with this monitor i have some questions and i would be most grateful for any advice.

First, there is the issue of brightness. Is there a s/w solution to change brightness with a hot-key combo? (Windows 7, Radeon).
The controls under the screen are not well implemented and i think their range is limited. Also, they are slow to change.
As a result my desktop image is now imprinted into the inside of my skull and my brain hurts.

Second, with all that space, I think that a better way to manage my open windows would be good.
Win7 solution (winkey + arrow) worked well to resize a window to half of the screen and dock it but i am thinking now that resizing to a quarter would be better.. Anyone know a s/w that does that?

I know I had recently decided against the Achieva series for gaming because of the lack of over drive and concerns with ghosting. Anyone seen anything that states this version having some sort of response time booster?
