Better 27" IPS from Korea? PCBANK 3VIEW PB2700 - Page 62

Just wanted to say that you can purchase an oc PCB for the pcbank 2700 from overlordcomputers.com. this will allow up to a minimum of 96hz and will most likely fix any broken screens out there.

thanks, it's nice but too expensive, some of those monitors were selling for little over $200,
anyone know of any oem replacements for those boards?

I have the original where the bottom bezel barely sits 1.5" above my desk. It can sit at any of the in between angles so long as you manage to get it to balance under its' own weight. Higher heights will be more stable as the centre of gravity is closer to the centre of the stand. Trying to bring it as low as possible is somewhat difficult since it becomes front heavy and can topple. The height was important to me since my desk is a little high.

I can see the CoG factor being an issue here. Assuming that WE HOLD CAREFULLY and MOVE IT through ANGLES where CoG will hold, can the STAND/ HINGES hold it?

I'd love to be able to TILT the Monitor at a GOOD ANGLE instead of PURE VERTICAL 90 degrees. I wouldn't mind adding/ bonding a heavy base DISC on it, if it can help with the CoG factor.

How are these 2 versions different? Or has the STAND been changed over time? And the monitor with the old original stand is NO LONGER AVAILABLE?

I have an original stand from last march. It bends in 2 places (at the base and a hinge at mid point) and the base is pretty heavy but the screen would actually sag and bottom out unless in a specific spot.

Could you share what kind of Angles it would hold without sagging out? (maybe pictures too)

Is there anyway the joint screws could be tightened to improve the stable Range?

Not at home but off the cuff, you can only really adjust it between 15-30* upwards of level. Anything below 15* will sag down to level 9/10 times. Once the springs in the stand are broken in it can be adjusted a bit more to your liking.

No tightening of the screws is possible to what I have observed though you may be able to.

I never could get the stand to work properly, since the monitor seems to be too heavy to use the included stand. So I ended up having to buy one of those cheap 33 lb capacity tabletop vesa mounts from Monoprice for about 20 USD. Don't have to worry about any sag any more, once the bolts are tightened with an alan wrench. thumb.gif

So it holds at all angles above 30 degrees?
