Better 27" IPS from Korea? PCBANK 3VIEW PB2700 - Page 9

The stand is really one of my only gripes about the monitor. It does not swivel, or rotate, but it does tilt back to face the ceiling! But the good news is it sits straight, and since I dont plan to move it from this spot, how it rotates doesn't really matter to me. It does have holes for a 100mm x 100mm VESA mount if you don't like the stand though. The other small gripe is the larger bezels it has, but as I am not going nvidia surround with it, it does not really matter for me.

Sounds like a perfect candidate to have its bezel removed and a custom stand put on tongue.gif

EDIT: How are the pixels? Any stuck/dead?

Nice I should get mine sometime tomorrow hopefully. It was handed over from customs to Canada Post today. I'm liking how low it sits given my tall desk.. I'm disappointed that it doesn't rotate since it has a circular base. No biggy since I won't be moving it around much. Just thought it would be nice to be able spin the monitor over to show my brother something now and then although given my desk and the monitor's size, the speaker rack would probably get in the way now anyways.

Hope mine is flawless too! I think you're the first person to receive a PCBank instead of a Crossover lol.thumb.gif

Here's mine, from Red-Cap, purchased on 15 March, arrived in Seattle 26 March.

Nicely packaged:

338

Freebie included in the box. He's going to be expensive to ship back to Korea

338

It's what I ordered:

338

Everything's included:

338

Power adapter says it should work on 110v:

700

It's big alright (17" MacBook for comparison):

338

Looks nice:

338

338

But, wait, some smutz on the backlight or something (not too bad, though):

700

Not quite level:

700

700

Other thoughts. Has one dead pixel about 3cm from the right margin in the horizontal midline, not hardly visible at all. The dust behind the screen is somewhat more visible, but, again, just barely. Stand wobbles a bit, but not too bad. My HP ZR30W at work cannot compare; the backlight on that monitor seems dim and the matte screen fuzzes out detail.

+1 in interest. We need answers now!

Also, someone please take it apart and give us some pictures.

When set to 72hz, all I got was vertical multi-colored bars.
But then my graphics card is just a GT210 so perhaps that was the limitation.

I'll give it a try when I get back from work today.

My monitor has not even one dead pixel, I don't want to jinx it by opening it up with no reason. Maybe the other guy who got one yesterday would be willing though.

How is this one in comparison to the Crossover 27Q? The difference is $40, so I dont care about that.
Are the colors / contrast better?

Cause from the pictures I would say the Crossover wins in the build quality department with a good stand and alluminium body.

Any opinions?
