7970 xfire performance drop

Hey guys this is the setup i have AMD 8120 OC at 4.5 Ghz and 16gb of gskills memory at 1866, Sabertooth 990fx MB, XFX PRO1050W Black Edition PSU, 2 7970's xfire running at 1125/1575 (right now I have 2 of my 3 monitors connected because 1 of DOA) and all of my games are running off a SSD's. When I play BF3 I get over 100 FPS easy with everything maxed with a res of 1920x1080, but when I play SC2 Swtor my FPS drop to the 60's and lower. I've seen it at 30 FPS while playing those games. I don't have vertical sync turned on so I'm not to sure what's going on. I did notice that Swtor only use about 35% of GPU 1 and about 4% of GPU 2. I didn't check to see what it looked like while running SC2. I know BF3 is more graphically intense than SC2 and Swtor so im wondering what's going on. I have a fresh install of windows and im using the lastest drivers from the ati website......any thoughts

SC2 is a very CPU intensive game. I'm guessing that your CPU is struggling to run SC2 and drive two 7970s.

hmmm interesting, isn't BF3 just as CPU intensive as SC2, all my cores come close to hitting max when im playing and the temps stay around 56C. The load on my CPU while playing SC2 isn't as high at all even on 2 or 4 of the 8 cores

RTS games stress the CPU more than a FPS and SC2 can only use three cores.

What resolution are you playing at?  SC2 does not support crossfire under 1920x1200.  Try disabling crossfire in CCC.
