please help, dont know which SSD to get

Thread Starter
So my wife convinced me that we should get an SSD biggrin.gif not sure which one to get though.

I am looking at either a Crucial M4, a Corsair Force series 3 or a Corsair Force GT.

Crucial because I have read alot of things about it having great reliability and 4-8 GB more than Corsair

Corsair because my rig is built alot around corsair products and I love their warranty and customer service.

I am looking at getting one of the following SSDs. I am not sure which size I should get..... either 60-64GB or 120-128GB.
Corsair Force series 3 60GB
Corsair Force series 3 120GB
Corsair Force GT 60GB
Corsair Force GT 120GB
Crucial M4 64GB
Crucial M4 128GB

which one should I get?

EDIT:
looking at some benches appears the force GT does a little bit better http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/409?vs=425

hello corsair lover friend =D

I also appreciate a lot corsair. But i just ordered the Crucial M4 128GB. Should arrive in 2 days. It seem to be the most reliable SSd on the market right now, for the price, it has the same controller as intel one's ( supposed to be the greatest controller) and it reads at 520 MB/s ( writing bit lower BUT you install stuff every day?)

Definitly pick up a crucial. I search for straight 4 months before choosing to order my first SSD. Probably saw every single review of high end SSD.

Crucial M4 128GB or Corsair Force 3 GT 120GB
post #4 of 43
Crucial M4 128GB hands down...it's been $150 quite a bit lately or less

64GB is too small. The Corsair ones use Sandforce controllers and aren't as reliable. The M4 uses the Marvell controller which the M4 uses. I'd also recommend the Plextor M3, Intel 510 or 520 and the more expensive Corsair Performance Pro as they all too use the Marvell Controller.

I would personally recommend intel ssd's. With the release of their 520 series, they are now back on top. 5 year warranty and best firmware/performance for a sandforce drive. I'd say get an intel 520 120gb if you can afford it. thumb.gif

I would also look at Intel 520.
The price is quite decent. Around 200$ for 120 GB.

Easily the crucial m4. It is such a solid drive you can't go wrong. You can ask anyone on this site and 90%+ of the users will recommend the Crucial M4
