Anyways, i took my old home build w/ i7-950 @3.8 - CM212+ MSI X58M+ Patriot pyro 120gb ssd+ random case+ 1(120mm) antec side fan at full throttle and two 80mm reg case fans...
This board has always ran hot...What sucks is i KNOW this chip is capable of WAY higher OC but the notorious northbridge heat issue with these boards prevents me from going over 3.8!!!! SUCKS!!!
Bottom line,it stays pretty hot.. BIOS IDLE is 47 degrees Hwmonitor IDLE is 51 degrees on core 0 and 41 degrees core 4.
Prime 95 after 5-10minutes doesnt go above 96 degrees... but this thing is NEVER LOADED so...ive just been like Ehh...
Anyways...its a work build the worst im worried about is this idle 51 degrees temp.... Is it REALLY that bad????...I keep debating in my mind...I would LOVE to get this chip up to 4.5 like my home build....
Oh and one quick last thing.... not that its real bad of a problem,but what would cause a computer to boot fast but it takes FOREVER to shutdown??? Like i dont even wait long enuf to wait for it to shutdown because it takes THAT long..So i was wondering what maybe caused that...
