Taste is objective....the great beauty of the world is that everyone can like something different. You obviously have not learned this yet. I saw Red Steel demo'd.......it is not to my taste, if I wanted to wave my arms around and play sword fight, I would take up fencing and do it for real. I am appriciative of the fact that the game is not a clone of another game directly and that it introduces new elements to gameplay......I simply do not care for them myself.

Really? I thought those were candid shots of regular gamers It's not like Nintendo has been using paid models since their first console or anything. Though, maybe you don't remember those days....Atari did it too when their first system released, just so you know.

I don't think you do understand. Your post proves that. In addition, being impressed has nothing to do with suprise, and everything to do with seeing something that looks to be a lot of fun.

I work hard for my money, and I have several hobbies....when I spend my money I don't just throw it around at anything that catches my eye, or because it's new. I don't care what other people enjoy, it's my money, so it's about what I like. I don't begrudge the people that enjoy spending 10 hours playing Mario Sunshine, if that's what they enjoy then I am glad they found something that makes them happy. However, I would not spend 5 minutes with that game as it does not appeal to me in any way.

Thankfully, my life is not tied to what strangers on the internet think of me. If you do care about such things, you should know I am sitting here laughing at anyway who calls it the Wii. You play with your Wii all you want......

Well, I am sure Nintendo would turn me away if I asked to buy thier console, because of the amazing buying power of you and the other people, hopefully some with better grammer and spelling. And I will cry myself to sleep everynight, disheartened by the thought that Nintendo doesn't need me. Of course, Nintendo is currently in last place in the console market, so maybe they need something......

I suggest you need a lesson in humor and acceptance of other points of view with a class on controlling your arrogance for good measure.

Well to be fair, nintendo can be in last place for the rest of it's days, but that is no true reflection of the quality entertainment and innovation they have given us past, present and will do so in the future.

Just my opinion, but it sounds like what people online think may have a bigger bearing on your behaviour than you might think. It's obviously your entitlement to have your own opinion, but was it truly neccessary to disect his comments with the sole purpose of making him out to be less intelligent than yourself, however we can rest assured this display was not to feed your ego or for anyone else to see, surely not!

We all say silly things from time to time, and it's not the first or last time you'll see people's comments scrutinised and cross examined in such an unscrupulous way, but is there any real need? I'll be the first to disagree with his comments, but obviously the difference between you and i is that i won't take advantage of the fact his grammar perhaps isn't up to the same high standard as yours. But be appreciative that we can all learn from each other and in saying that, you could do with a few of those classes yourself.

I would like to remind EVERYONE that the reason behind entertainment is not FPS, or number of keyboard shortcuts... It's because of entertainment. Sure, DOOM is exempt, but for the most part, Nintendo has delivered FUN entertainment. And they have done so since their inception.

WITHOUT BASING ON OTHER MANUFACTURERS

Think about it. They have just done their thing and revolutionized many aspects of gaming. I would HATE to see them go personally.

Even people who don't like nintendo shouldn't want them to go. Even if what nintendo does doesn't do it for you, a lot of what nintendo does best can be taken, analysed and made better, and constantly does.
