Something similar to xbmc... - Page 2

Well i got the hulu plugin to install on my xbmc, but it only played ads and never got to the content. Read through the forum.. I don't want half my shows to work either. I'm not willing to sacrifice half my shows for a nice interface. If im reading correctly, these "hand shakes" change from time to time. I dont want to spend time fixing my tv, I just want to watch it!

Thanks for the suggestion on playon. I am not looking for a $ubscriptoin services however. I would just newsgroup if i wanted to pay money biggrin.gif

Thanks for the recommendation. Will investigate Playon now...

wouldn't it be easier to get the plex plugin, figure out how the new handshake works and just mod the XBMC lib?

Maybe, maybe not. Depends how different the XBMC Hulu code is to Plex's Hulu code. They'd both be Python plugins and likely with the same media centre modules for XBMC/Plex integration, so a port should be straightforward. But if the two plug ins have some design / GUI differences that are preferred for their related platforms, then your method would make more sense.

But as always, it's very easy talking about it on messageboards but another matter writing the code (I've only ever written one XBMC plug in and that wasn't exactly to a high quality lol)
