Nah, a touch-screen based GUI will never be more efficient than a mouse+keyboard based one when you're, y'know, using a mouse and keyboard.

Do you not understand that Metro isn't the only interface available? That Metro is just a revised start menu? That the traditional desktop is still running in the background?
You're just afraid of change like every other Windows 8 decrier out there. This will be quite a successful OS if everything they are talking about is implemented properly. Interface is one of the least concerns when dealing with a server. Stability, accessibility, and security are way more important than a minor UI inconvenience.
You still have to deal with Metro and it's idiotic implementation.
And you're like every WIndows 8 defender out there, straight away assuming that everyone who hates it hasn't tried it and is just afraid of change. I tried it, I hated it. Although this isn't really related to Windows Server 8, as (Like you said) the interface isn't really a major concern.
