Well that's good, re: system restore settings, and dropping them, however, um another thing to check is...
Control Panel >>> Administrative tools >>> COMPUTER MANAGEMENT
Then go to the DISK MANAGEMENT thing near the bottom.
Maximize the window, (if it isn't already)
There you'll see your C: drive, and other partitions, the sizes of the cd's/dvd's in your drives, and so on.
Also it basically tells ya if the page file is healthy or not, etc.
I have 2 partitions, and a 2nd hd that's on it's own.
And all 3 hd's have 2.5gb page files. (Actually helps me a bit, ever make a 9999x9999 pixel "paint program" image?? it max'd my page file!)
Anyhoo, go in there, see if there's space that's "not in use" by a partition or a harddrive, on Disk 0 or Disk 1.
If there IS space there, format it, for a mini partition. Might help. However trying to integrate it into your current partition or harddrive just might not work overall, might cause a loss of files, or error's. Just a heads up. (Might...)
Hope this helps
