PC build

Thread Starter
Hey guys,

Im sure the, 'is this a good build' thing has been done to death but none the less I would like some opinions and suggestions lol.

CPU - i7 3770k
GPU - GTX 680
Cooler - Corsair H80
PSU - Corsair AX-850
MOBO - Asrock Z77 Extreme6

This is what I have got so far, I want it to dominate games, 60fps in the hardest conditions of BF3 and things of that sort. This would be my first Intel build also.

Thanks Guys thumb.gif

Looks great! Aside from the fact you can't buy it yet... rolleyes.gif

In all seriousness, I'd replace the cooler with a top-quality air cooler (Silver Arrow, D14). Air coolers are generally quieter and cheaper than closed water for the performance. Also, PSU is overkill for one GPU.

Well if you like the looks so much, no one's stopping you, lol. As for PSU, I'd suggest going by the Power Supplies forum, checking the stickies, and using Phaedrus' PSU Calculator, putting in the overclocks & equipment list you're shooting for. That'll give you a realistic (rather than the usually horrendously inflated) wattage target, AND a fair-sized list of quality PSUs that are sufficient for the build you want.

The PSU is fine.

change the cpu to i5 3570K, quad core has pretty much same gaming performance as of i7 3770K
change the psu to NZXT HALE82 HALE82-850-M 850W , same seasonic oem as corsair ax850, & specs but you save $30 less from corsair brand
corsair H80 link ~ ok
gtx 680 ~ok
Asrock Z77 Extreme6 ~ ok, alternative extreme 4 has pretty much have all the neccessary needed connectors
