I had a transformer prime until a few days ago.. picked up a 64GB Black iPad w/ Verizon 4G..
Being back on an iOS device, I am reminded of why Apple is the leader in tablets. There are a number of things Android does better (customization, flexibility, file system, etc.), but in my experience the volume, and quality of software on iOS is still leagues ahead of android, particularly for tablets.
However, the number one reason I purchased this device was the display.. and it does not disappoint at all. My computer monitor and my 'prime looked positively grainy and pixellated after using this for a while.
Thankfully my galaxy nexus still looks awesome, because it has an even higher ppi than the new ipad, but when are they coming out with 4K monitors again? I'm really wanting one about now
The transformer prime is clearly the best android tablet available right now, but the new ipad is just a better machine in terms of user experience for me.
Can't wait to see more devices out there with insane screen resolutions.. easier reading for all of us!
To be perfectly honest, my ideal tablet would be one that could dual boot between iOS and Android.... but that seems unlikely.
