Baldurs Gate: DA is still one of my favorite games to this day, only reason i have my old consoles is for the BG:DA and Champions of Norrath series.
Dark Alliance was awesome. I consider it "real" baldur's gate.

I don't care what platform it's on. Baldurs Gate is Baldurs Gate. Baldurs Gate on both platforms was absolutely awesome.
And if it's released on iPad I'll buy a damn iPad just to play it.
I am not judging the quality of the game, they were games in the same setting/city, but were not Baldur's Gate games, as BG 1 and 2 was a direct storyline like Mass Effect 1 to 2. Dark Alliance had completely different developers, different engines, and a different genre. Didn't mean anything negative by it. Like having a Mass Effect: Dark Alliance, a First Person Shooter title featuring Steve the cargo worker and his mission to eradicate husks off of a Dreadnaught. Its not a "Mass Effect" title (in regards to Commander Shepard) but still crowbarred into the universe. Simply putting Mass Effect in the games name does not make it a real Mass Effect game, its just a spin-off of the main series.
That being said, not to rain on your parade, but I hope this is Baldur's Gate III, return to old school, and not Dark Alliance / Dragon Ages style.Edited by RagingCain - 3/15/12 at 8:20am
