yea thanks for that bud, but hard to do when they stated they are not going to even tested because they think they see physical damage

It sucks, but all you can really do is insist that their claims are bogus, that you don't want the board back and only a replacement or a refund is satisfactory.

Stick to your guns fella.

I feel for whoever has to deal with ASUS support. I've never had to RMA anything for 6 years until last week when psu overvoltage surge fried my ssd, hdd, and mobo. Crucial was awesome with the ssd RMA (brand new in box replacement) and Corsair was also awesome with the psu RMA (brand new in box replacement). Have not RMA'd the Samsung F3 yet, as im still trying to recover my data.

ASUS RMA on my Crosshair IV Formula board? Like pulling teeth! Im not even going to get into it because im tired of being angry and just want to forget my experience with them. Yes i did get another ASUS board, but only before my experience with the RMA. And because of that experience, Im no longer going to buy anything ASUS. Don't care how good their mobo's are, there's always an alternative.

And if youre waiting to speak to Robert Tinsley (Customer Service Manager), dont hold your breath. And when you do finally get to speak with him? Youre gonna have to do some deep breathing exercises to keep yourself from looking him up so you can personally wedge a pair of brass knuckles in his mouth.

I sent in an asus motherboard for RMA awhile back because it had a bad RAM slot on it (It wouldn't post with anything plugged into it). After I finally got it back IT WASN'T FIXED. When I contacted them they insisted that it was fixed and it was my fault. I know that's not the case since I tried a bunch of RAM, all of which had tested good on another system. Instead of going through all the hassle I just bought a new board, and I now avoid asus motherboards.

Hate to burst your bubble, but ASUS is not responsible for your PSU frying your hardware. Be thankful you actually got a new MB and new hardware from the other manufactures.

People like you're the reason companies are being hard on people like the OP.

Believe it or not, a good percentage of PC hardware returns after 90-120 days and less than 1-2 years, usually is the owner's fault. So many noobs or faulty PSUs destroying hardware and then the noobs get all mad when the company denies the request for a replacement. Like in piranhamoose case. It was the PSU manufactures fault, not the other hardware manufactures. Now the other hardware manufacture just took the hit. <<< Crappp like this ruins it for people like the OP!

For the OP. You're one of the few that is in the right. That claim by ASUS is bull-crappp, but keep on them and they will eventually give you a replacement. Good Luck...

Sad that in US you have such terrible customer service. Here in EU Asus is doing fine, (they even repaird my C3F that had no warranty for free, lol)

wow seriously?? Asus customer service and RMA service is complete crap here in the UK, oh sorry, they don't even have technical support or RMA service for motherboards. Who am I kidding, I'll take my money elsewhere, EVGA is looking pretty sweet about now smile.gif

I will be creating a thread real soon regarding my experience with them and you'll see what I'm talking about.
