[TPU]NVIDIA Introducing a New Anti-Aliasing Algorithm with Kepler? - Page 2

MLAA/FXAA/SMAA honestly all look the same to me. Barely preferable to no AA. 4XMSAA should be the gold standard and every game should support it imo. Especially on PC where we have the horsepower.

SSAA blends everything too. It applies AA to everything on the screen.

8xMSAA + AAA (AAA removes jaggies from transparency texture like fences.)

SSAA does that on some games yes. What SSAA does is render the game at a much higher resolution and drops it down. Normally it looks amazing and hits perf too hard to even use.

Aliasing isn't necessarily related to the resolution, or pixel density of the panel.

+1

And once I get in to a good game of TF2 or BC2, I don't even notice the graphics anyway.

Then again my first big online shooter game was Star Siege and it's amazing graphics rolleyes.gif

Are you sure about resolution? I notice heavy aliasing at low resolutions in some games.

If you play your games at native resolution then AA is just icing on the cake imo. I hate FXAA and would rather have no AA then FXAA, it just blurs the image to much.
