I'm wondering if this in particular supports the true 7.1 gaming headset coming out (Razer Tiamat)

700

Out
In
Sub woofer
Rear
Side

Thank you in ahead!

Or if you think that Razer Tiamat isn't worth the price and would like to recommend other products, please feel free to. It is very much appreciated!

From what I understand the onboard audio does support 7.1 surround, so yes, you can use that one with your current connections.

From Razers site in regards to these headphones:

There are 5x 3.5mm jacks extending from the Razer Tiamat 7.1 for the following channels: Front (green), center&subwoofer (orange), side surround (gray), rear surround (black), and microphone (pink).

That would fill up all of the connections. And you just set the sound to 7.1 surround in the software. wink.gif

When it comes to 7.1 headsets I can't recommend anyone over the other, as I haven't tested out to many of them. But from the avarage experience with Razer I'd say some of their products are a tad overpriced, but all in all of great quality, so I personally don't mind the extra cost. thumb.gif
