I currently own a lot of logitech products, and not one of them has lasted less than 3 years. Hell, my MX518 still works, and my Z-2300 speakers are still on my main system even after 7 years of hard use and abuse. Razer needs to worry less about being innovative, and more about giving consumers the build quality that they pay for with the name.

Completely agree. While I absolutely love the layout and feel of my DeathAdder, I feel like the thing doesnt last longer than 1-2 years (this is my second in 3 years, and the side buttons are beginning to double click). Their drivers are also absolutely abysmal. Would really like if they just focused on QC instead of trying to spread into every computer peripheral market.

I'm one of them as well.
Razer Lycosa - DOA
Razer DA - DOA
Razer Carcharias - Died after 3 months, had only been used for a week tops. rolleyes.gif

Ancient Logitech KB from 1995 - Still working 100%
Logitech G5 - I've had it for 5 years, still working, it was used by 5 people 24/7 for years. Now I'm using a G400 [v2] and I have had zero problems.

I'd rather them make cases than full ridiculously overpriced systems.
Oh lawd, the Facebook comments are amusing.

They're obviously trying to take over Alienware/DELL.

You all are bashing a product that isn't even marketed towards you. That's like bashing tampons or baby food. You aren't the target market.

the case design might be awesome....but the price is going to be way to high....another "alienware" type company, I did like their Blade laptop (got to mess with a friends) but so much money...

Well hey, if Razer will price their desktops competitively with Alienware (as in, cheaper), then why not? Now if they try to make a 2" thin desktop case that only takes an mITX board, half-height cards, and a 270W PSU I'd rage.. but they can't be thaaat out of touch with gamers needs, right?

Making Cases should be the furthest they go. We don't need another company putting there logo on a build and doubling the build price. mad.gif

With Razer's "L33T" and "Xtreme" marketing schemes, how could they not sell a million units!?

/sarcasm

If razer can get past their own hype and actually put together a competent PC for the entry-level PC gamer, they might just stand a chance. I sure as heck wouldn't buy one, but this could give rise to mainstream OEMs pushing out gaming desktops again.
