Setting Up Printer In Ubuntu Question

i have ubuntu 11.10, how do i make it so that the 2 PC's on the windows network can print through a printer thats hooked up to my ubuntu computer?

It was made for the older Gnome 2.xx, but since everyones moved to Gnome 3 with shell and Unity, it needs to be updated. But you shouldn't have too much trouble finding them.

I think, and don't quote me on this because it's been a while. If you log out of your account, there should be a desktop environment drop down menu, which should let you choose classic ubuntu or classic gnome or something along those lines. Unless they've removed that lately. I know it was there at least after the first release of Unity but not sure anymore. Anyways, if it's still there, you should have no problem using that guide. tongue.gif

Else, I can't help since I don't use ubuntu or even gnome/unity.

You might get away with just searching "Printing" in the Dash menu (the Ubuntu icon button)
