Intel Core i7-2700K Sandy Bridge

I just got the Intel Core i7-2700K Sandy Bridge and I installed the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus along with the ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 motherboard. My CPU temps are 31c~34c idle, with Prime95 55c. I also have 600w CORSAIR PSU, I would like to overclock my CPU to 4GHz and maybe higher depending on temps but I've never done it before and I'm new to the UEFI BIOS. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

i followed these

basically, set the settings that they recommend in the BIOS.

set BCLK to 100, and multiplier to 40, then run the stress tests for stability. then u can bump the multplier up til it doesnt boot or pass the test. then incrementally increase vcore til u can pass the tests and your temps are to your liking. there is lots of info in those threads about how to get it stable once u get higher too.

4.0 is a pretty mild OC, i bet u can get that on the stock vcore(at least i did).

i'm sitting at 4.4Ghz right now with a ~1.32 vcore and i'm hovering at 65-68°C. i'd like to stay under 70°C so i'm sticking with this for now.
