Yep, blind info. I provided proof that Sandforce still has problems to work out with firmware as evidenced by Anandtech.

It has nothing to do with opinion if you'd read the whole thread you'd know that.

Guys calm down!!!

For some the agility is perfect, for some it sucks. I get it that there could be problems with one for some and vice versa.

Please no arguing. Makes me sad. redface.gif

Thanks for all the backups from different sources, but it seems the m4 is the best one for the price

If you can afford the m4 (or will save up for it) go for it. I was just giving my opinion because you were able to get the Agility for $40 , which is an amazing price for a SSD, even MicroCenter knock-off SSDs are close to $100 LOL.

I agree...$40! for a huge increase in speeds over a HDD, if worst case happens and you are unfortunate to have an issue you can try having me troubleshoot it with you, RMA, use in a another system, use it as storage, or sell it.

$40 is so worth it to me lol, i'm cheap like that.

I picked up two Agility 3 240GB knowing that the performance is not top-tier, but also knowing that it's a cheap way to a 430GB RAID 0 drive at only around $1/gig. I also haven't seen failure problems in reviews of the A3 240GB like I did with many of the Vertex series.

I just finished replacing my sig-rig platform (3930K, not updated yet in sig), and I'll bench soon, but I can tell the numbers aren't anything that will take records, but far faster than the SSD RAID0 SATA2 setup I had before (two Vertex 2 60GB).

As far as reliability, I have bought and used numerous OCZ SSDs for myself and family and have not had a single one fail or exhibit any problems. Some people can't seem to make them work right, take that as you will.

I have it.

I think the people that have it should only respond.

It is logical that most people that post bad reviews, are still the minority of customers, because the satisfied seldom hop online to post a review.

With that being said, I think I have had mine for about 1 year now and I have never had any problems with it.

I will say, that initially upon plugging it in and loading Windows 7 on to it, I got a blue screen. I was freaking out, because I too, had read the "iffy" reviews regarding blue screens and such.

Anyway, I did a little research and learned with these drives, you must have the BIOS set to "ACHI" mode instead of the default "IDE".

Switched it. Rebooted. Installed Windows 7 on to it, no problems.

Completely blew my old mechanical Hard drive away, which was one of the "better" mechanical hard drivers, i .e. 10,000rpm Veliciraptor.

Boot up time initially was insane, couldn't believe that I went that many years bottle-necking my whole system, by buying nice GFX cards and CPUs, but skimping on the hard drive. Big mistake.

I later purchased the Corsair Force Series also, that one is also very good.

Whoa why did this thread come back to live again?

Yeah I did purchase the Crucial M4 64 3 weeks ago.
It is awesome installed win 7 on it, boots in 30 seconds, I changed to AHCI AFTER I installed win 7, IDK if that is okay.

But anyways, love the crucial, I got it from staples for $66 after $25 off. thumb.gif
