[ITW] AT&T shows how to make a PR disaster even worse - Page 4

ATT is great...until you have a problem...

then you can just eff off. Your problem, deal with it.

Slowed unlimited? Extra billing? Not advertised speeds? Outages? HEY LOOK BUDDY, WE SAID IT WAS YOUR PROBLEM. DEAL WITH IT!

We've had ATT for a long time now. Doesn't really affect us because none of us have data plans. What really annoys me is that little clause that forces you to get a data plan if you want to use a smartphone (i.e. iphone), even if you buy the smartphone from a 3rd party.

We would switch, but ATT is the only carrier that has service at our vacation home.

I live around Elmira NY and I was one of the very first customers who had Road Runner in the nation. In fact I tested Road Runner before it was even named Road Runner. I've only had issues twice since that time, both times they were fixed within 2 days. In fact when I signed up for Road Runner or " Southern Tier On-Line Community" when it was then called, which again switched to Line Runner, then Road Runner there were only 30 or so people who had it at the time, back in 1996.

How come you guys get a choice? Its either Telstra 7mb's (Even though its advertised as 24-1) or I am on 1500/300 ADSL.

Not fair.

At the end of the day all the "choices" either suck or are holychristexpensive or both.

I will attest to that, having heard, first hand, countless of their customers gripe, moan, get very upset, and even just throw their hands up and call Time Warner Cable...

(Which is what I would have done to begin with..)

In today's age, there is no need for anything other than the Internet & a Cellphone (for business)...

TVs are old tech that needs to die, same for DVD Players, etc. etc. etc.

I'd take a 27" Computer Monitor and a HTPC over ANY TV that you can find in any store.....

I had problems with my phone, not the service. Those problems got me a free Captivate and a free SGSII plus statement credits. Oh, and when my brother misplaced his Atrix without insurance on his account, they got him a brand new one for $30.

Horrible customer service.

Throttling isn't just AT&T. It's the whole industry.
Hooray for having a grandfathered original iPhone data plan. Real unlimited data for $30 a month ! Used 12 fb last month, no throttling.

Throttling isn't just AT&T. It's the whole industry.

I was a customer for 10 years(technically still am, using an AT&T MVNO), and their customer service quality diminished exponentially over the years. For the longest time I tried to get unlimited data...as soon as I had my friends Iphone 2g IMEI, their story changed from "we don't offer that" to, "you now have unlimited data". After that they got increasingly less helpful. In the past I'd had a senior plan, which they let me get on since I'd been with them so long, and because I was paying a lot for data...I switched out, and when i tried to go back, it was a no go. Even when I told them T-Mobile will let me hop into a senior plan, they just said "sorry". So they've lost me as a direct customer, now I just pay $10/mo for a prepaid phone.
