OK my 5 year old OCZ GXS 600 watt finally died after a power outtage today. Its been a good psu run 24/7 for most of its life.
I currently have 2 systems and one functioning PSU.
The PSU I have:
XClio Greatpower 500 watt (I believe I kept this one, I had also purchased a Xclio Goodpower 500 watt but think I sold it and kept the Greatpower)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817189012
The 2 systems I have:
Q6600 @ 3.2 ghz 1.365 volts
XFX 5770
4 sticks DDR2 (6 gigs total)
4 hard drives (7200 rpm)
1 ssd
3 case fans
1 DVDRW
Which using Phadrus' psu calculator requires 510 watts max if folding 24/7 with a 40% oc on the cpu
E6400 @ 3.2 ghz 1.3 volts
EVGA GTX 260 core 216 65 nm (or whichever the larger orange one is)
2 sticks DDR2 (4 gigs total)
3 hard drives (7200 rpm)
2 case fans
1 DVDRW
Using Phaedrus' psu calculator requires 570 watts, but this is the one the Xclio 500 watt has been in for 2 years and works flawlessly ?
So I can spend ABSOLUTELY MAX SHIPPED $75 Not a single penny more and less is better (my gf is going to replace my failed psu and this is my budget)
I was looking at these psus but other suggestions are more than welcome and equal performance for less is much appreciated!!
OCZ ModXStream 600 watt - $75 shipped - $25 MIR = $50
