Okay, here's my stupid situation:
I have two 500GB Momentus XTs in my desktop, the RAID has failed three times over the past year, BSODs all over the place, etc. Seatools for Windows refused to run no matter what I did - a common error it has. I only tried to run the Windows version because I have absolutely failed miserably to make Seatools for DOS boot from USB (I don't have an optical drive). FreeDOS just fails to boot, looks for a kernel or something. I was going to use Sardu to use Ultimate Boot CD but it failed, couldn't load the kernel. Couldn't Boot UBCD from a flash drive either.
Basically, I need to RMA one or both of these drives but I can't make Seatools run (despite my best efforts) to either repair bad sectors and send me on my way or get the error code I need to start an RMA. I also can't update the firmware on the drives because I can't boot to anything that uses FreeDOS.
Basically does anyone have experience with this motherboard (in my sig) and booting applications using FreeDOS from usb? Or any advice? I really just want to be able to boot to SeaTools for DOS from USB. That's my ultimate goal.
Please, anyone, help if possible :\ This is a seriously inconvenient time for this to be happening.
