Alright y'all, I've just completely reinstalled Windows 7 and now everything is spick and span. Made system backup, now we just wait and see if this thing BSODs on me after I install all these drivers...

Yep, like I expected it started giving me BSODs after a number of drivers. I've got verifier on and I'm going to hunt this one down. Just out of curiosity, if too many BSODs occur and my files become corrupted again, will my system image that I burned onto discs fix that or will i have to do a fresh install of Windows again?

So you're getting BSOD's after you re-installed Windows?

If that's the case what you need to do is start troubleshooting the hardware. To do that you need to eliminate things until you find the culprit. So if you have onboard video, try removing the video card and try onboard video. Remove one stick of RAM at a time, etc. Replace the CPU with another, etc.

Until you find the culprit.

Yeah but thing is that I reinstalled some of the drivers, at least the essential ones. So it could still largely be a software problem. If it is hardware, it would not be RAM, because I ran multiple tests on my sticks, and it's not my hard drive either, since I ran a test just yesterday and everything was fine. The other components seem largely controlled by software, and they run fine on games (graphics card, CPU), so even if it was malfunctioning it would be because software is telling it to do something it shouldn't?

I would recommend a clean Windows install. Best way to ensure this is not software. Your OS sounds like it's corrupt regardless / registry is in the crapper.

So I should do what GanjaSMK told me to do earlier on with the GWIPE even though I just re-installed Windows? Or are you saying if I get more unresolved BSODs, I should do a clean install?

When did you do a fresh Windows install? Fresh as in formatted the drive and installed Windows all over again.
