ocing fx-4100 suggestions? (also having problems with nb and ht)

ocing fx-4100 its at 4400mhz with 2600 nb and ht problem is nb wont go over 2600 at all (bios supports up to 6000) and ht wont go over what the nb is set to so if nb is set to 2000 ht has a max of 2000 (i know nb is 2000 default and ht is 2600) when set to auto it follows the defaults but ht is 2600max unless nb is set to over 2600 and if you do no post

mobo: asus m5a87
memory: amd 1333mhz 4x4gb sticks 9-9-9-24@1600mhz
cpu: fx-4100
cooler: H60 liquid cooler

and advice/suggestions?

also i know the mosfets have no heatsinks on this mobo ive already ordered some and there is fans on them for now

can you leave the ht at 2600 and manually enter 2800 for the cpu/nb ? I wouldnt go past 2600 for the ht, that is probably where your troubles are coming from. If you cant boot ad more voltage to the cpu/nb and check your dram doesnt need more voltage then too. If you are using the fsb to overclock the ht and cpu/nb numbers can be a little more tricky than just using the multiplier. The mosfets should be ok for now your voltages shouldnt be that high at that clock.

What Sort of OC are you trying to achieve ?

I no longer have my FX-4100 as I've moved onto the FX-6200, But i had mine running at 4.7ghz and stable using that exact same water cooler.

If I recall the Multiplier on NB and HTT was only set to 11 x with a pretty hefty voltage increase, but I can't remember what it all equated to.

I didn't validate it with CPU-Z at that speed, but have the 4.6 OC I did, http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2286933

I was however running a gigabyte Motherboard as well.

im happy with 4.4 maybe 4.5 would be good but mainly i was just going to up the nb a little to get more out of the 4.4ghz
and anything over 2600=no post and even if i set nb to 2600 and set the fsb to 201 still no post it wont go over 2600 in the slightest and ive tried everything from 2000 to 2800 on the ht all=no post if the nb is over 2600 and cant set the ht over the nb so its making for alot of issues

ive read alot of people saying that the fx series doesnt like nb overclocking but seems to like ht overclocks since i cant set the ht over nb its an issue

ya i found that one out

and overclocking wise ive got to 5ghz but it was running to hot it was stable and 5ghz but just to hot hit 63c for a second so i had to lower it and im good with 4.4 i just want to up the ht which is a problem when my nb cant be lower and its limited to 2600

ocing fx-4100 suggestions? (also having problems with nb and ht)
