Arma 2 Free What?

So I downloaded Arma 2 now that it is free. But I am wondering what about it was free. There was next to no content besides a boot camp which is terrible and some benchmarks. Nothing listed under multiplayer. No Campaign.

There was only one thing on there that I would consider worth playing but...my whole squad gets mowed down in the first 2 minutes after leaving the UH-1.
If I get injured none of the AI that is supposed to be in my army comes to help me so I bleed out and die without a chance to even play the only content on the game.

Am I missing something here or is that all this game is? I thought this was supposed to be a awesome game/sim for people who like realistic warfare.

Ok so they let you download the tools to make your own stuff, but leave out the paid for content like campaign ect...?

I downloaded ARMA II Free but the only content it had was 1 singler player scenario and multiplayer (with no servers). Also the editor mode.

What would you recomend downloading for a good singleplayer campaign? I see quite a few on the website but if you have over 20GB I would think you know the best ones.

Well from what I have seen this game is terrible. The only singleplayer I have gotten to play was a huge turnoff. My squad was instant dead within 2 minutes leaving me to fight a LAV with a LMG. Not so sure if I would even pay $1 for it after that. My team (the AI) wouldent even revive me. They just sat there letting me bleed out.
