Need new mouse and pad..

Hi all,

Will keep this short and simple, need a new mouse from the following short-list -

Cyborg RAT 9
Zowie AM
Roccat Kova+

I use finger/palm grip,have small hands and use sensitivity of no more then around 800 to 1000 or so DPI depending on mouse and mouse surface.

As to surface well that's a bit more difficult, would depend on which mouse from my short list but also I don't like excess wear on mouse feet from hard surface. Hard pads are bad in this respect for me. But maybe one of the mice I have in my list has better feet ? or someone can recommend a hard surface that is kinder to mouse feet ? On the other hand I do like an easy to clean surface, Cloth is bad in this respect for me but is better on mouse feet..Surface should be not huge ether.

Anyone have any suggestions/comments ?

How big of a surface do you consider huge? Are you unwilling to replace the feet on your mouse? What mice have you used previous to this short list?

I currently use the Zowie EC2 Black and am very happy with it. I have been considering the Zowie AM in the near future as I have a grip/hand size similar to yours and use a DPI or around 1500-2000. My current Zowie allows you to change the DPI between 500, 1000, and 2000 I believe as it doesn't use drivers. If I recall, the AM is similar. Are you looking to avoid a mouse with prediction? I know the AM doesn't have it. If you can answer the questions below we can be of more help to you. You may also find some answers to your question in this thread.

1) Finger and a little bit of Palm I think.
2) 800 to 1000ish DPI(Xai is currently set at 800 or so on a SS HD hard mat)

4) Not to bothered about lots of buttons
5) MMORPGs and FPSs but mostly the former.
6) On the fence about prediction, currently have it off on my Xai.
7) Ambi design needed.Non glossy finish needed. Button force - medium/light with good feedback/feel and not super noisy.

The Zowie AM may be your best bet, not sure if its glossy though. You may want to post in the mouse suggestion thread for more ideas.

I was using the Zowie EC2 for a long term.
Then i decided to give the Zowie AM a chance and bought it ( nonglossy )
The thing is: cuz of the rubber on the whole mouse, I was forced to hold the mouse with more power cuz it was kinda slippery in my hands dont know why.. I think it was too small for the first time using it : p . But I got use to it very quickly : )
I changed the mouse to my old EC2 cuz of its shape.. but the AM is great though !

I just got the Roccat Kone+ in the mail a few days ago. It is the best mouse I have used by far. You can set one of the buttons on the mouse as a shift key so you really have 2x the buttons on the mouse, DPI from 400-6000 and you can change it in the software, finish is matte but not rubbery, it feels great. The only problem I have is the mousewheel clicks a little loud, but its not worth taking a point away for. The colors on the lighting are awesome, mine is set to change colors all the time and it pulses like a heartbeat.

My vote would be for Roccat Kone+ although I know you said Kova which IMO would not be as good for MMO

Kone+ would not work for me as I use Finger/Palm grip and have small hands.

Based on his grip, dpi preference, desire for an ambi mouse, and non gloss finish, the Zowie AM may be his best bet.
