Cooler Master Hyper 612 S

Hey guys, I was wondering if this cooler performs better than the hyper 212+ cuz I don't really know if this review is trustworthy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fP46RcgcLOU ( Actually I don't even have a clue of what to ask )

Case is a HAF 922
Intel Core I5 760 @ 4.1Ghz 1.28v

thanks

After reading reviews and searching around google it seems that it could possibly get a few degrees cooler, but in some cases a few degrees worse than the 212+ .so i would consider them to perform the same. considering the 212+ is $25 cheaper i would say the 212 is better.

The thermal efficiency of the 612S is slightly better than the 212+ but the 212+ looks to be the better value.

hyper 612 for performance

hyper for price/space

The main differences are that the 612 can cope with higher overclocks and is better suited for lower fan speeds compared to the 212.

Thanks for the replies, so, there's not much of a huge temp difference between both these coolers?

Without OC:
http://www.vortez.net/articles_pages/cooler_master_hyper_212_evo_cpu_cooler_review,8.html
not a big temp difference, the 612 is slightly better, BUT the 612 only needs 900rpm, whereas the 212 needs 1600rpm.

With OC:
http://www.vortez.net/articles_pages/cooler_master_hyper_212_evo_cpu_cooler_review,11.html
a bigger temp difference here, around 6°C depending on the fans used. Again, the 612 cools better with the stock fan at 900rpm than the 212 with 1600rpm...

So, there is a significant difference, depending on how you use them and what you expect from them...

Ok, lets say I have 2 Blade Masters at 2500rpm with 91cfm, now will the 612 perform rather cooler than its predecessor ?

depending on the oc, yes.

Another conflict occurred, I saw the review from OC3D on it and I differs a lot from the review I posted earlier, how is this possible ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYIgELM5NdI
