[hkepc] Brand new 'Kepler' Micro-architecture-review of GTX680 - Page 22

About 15% faster on average than the 7970 it seems. Not bad; not great. However, it's still a better card at the same price... unless AMD drops their prices significantly, gj Nv.

I guess you are right, I generally assume that lower temps = less power which isn't always correct. Could of swore there was a power consumption chart on the OP, but it was just the a temp chart.

Suddenly the HD 7970 doesn't look so bad after all. It's a dead heat between the GTX 680 and the HD 7970. wink.gif

This graph is an accurate representation of the 7970 speed. Finally we see legit numbers. The GTX 680 is as expected, a very nice card!

The power of these cards, 680/7970, is simply amazing.

Take your pick of these two cards and destroy all games!

nVidia has used similar core naming schemes for the last 10 years. Don't know why they would change their internal naming scheme now.

Better get munching. Nvidia scrapped their original 6xx flagship, GK100. GK110 is a revision of Kepler... it'd be the 7xx series, just as GF110 was the revision of GF100.

Ohh the "hype" is building so fast and too much imo. It will be interesting to see the results when the actual product is out. It will be either the new king or fall to the bottom.jerry.gif
