the more i see, the more i dont want the new tech. again 104 pushed up to the flagship spot, same specs as the 7870 and outperforms the 7970(for now, we'll see what happens at 5760x1200). will be around the same price as the 7970 but the performance gap between the 7970 and 680 appears to be generally lower than the gap between the 580 and 7970. wth didnt nvidia push the 110 as the flagship. 384 bit 3-4gb and lower clocks, i seriously doubt theres going to be a lot of oc head room on the 680s due to the high stock clocks, coming up with only 2gbs of vram, not this is usually an issue for single monitor play but still, why are they reving the clocks and minimizing the other specs?... i may end up waiting for the 8000 series or the 780 or whatever is next...
110 was nixed because the 104 managed to get 500 more pts in 3dm11? such garbage... stop holding tech back till after its necessary clowns! complete and utter garbage.
IMO both new flagships are garbage, and dont deserve the attention of the customer. shoot if you want a 7970 you should just save $100 and get a 7950, if you want a 7950 save $100 and get a 7870. the price/performance gap makes the 7970 way overpriced, the 7970 makes the 580 3gbs completely unreasonably priced, the 7950 makes the 580 1.5gbs overpriced and the 7870 makes everything overpriced... and now nvidias monster card has been put back in the darkness and we are getting what the 660 or 670 was supposed to be.
officially lost respect for nvidia
whats even stupider is when the 780 comes out... it will probably amount to what the 680 would have been on the gk110.
