Worth getting BF2 or Arma II ? - Page 2

Arma II is cool when you want a little realism and make your own missions. I bought Arma 2: Combined Operations. if youre going to get Arma II take the Arma 2: Combined Operations.
The thing I dont like in battlefield 2 is very arcade and very easy.
the thing I dont like in Arma II it has some bugs and I get mad but theyre solving it with patches. there are awesome mods for arma 2, i say if you like a bit realism get arma 2 and if you like action get BF2.

Arma 2 if you can get into a good community, probably the best game out there if you can (IMO). BF2 if you want to play alone.

ARMA II is amazing, Yes its a milisim and in turn can be incredibly frustrating, but their is nothing like jumping online and playing PROPER co-op, Great game I love it. ..... However it takes a pretty mean rig to max this thing, I cant mad.gif

ArmA 2 is not a game for Call of Duty or Battlefield fanboys.

If you played the original Operation Flashpoint games, then that's the closest you can compare to with ArmA 2.

It's much slower paced, but it's more of a simulator than a shooter (as it was originally intended to be). There's a bunch of mods for it as well, and custom maps and missions. Find a good community to play with or a few friends and you'll enjoy it.

It also has a pretty spooky zombie mod for it.

If you're looking for a quick log on, run and gun no brainer game, get BF2.
If you are looking for a more tactical game that is a bit slower paced and you need to invest time into every single mission... get ArmA 2.

I love both games, but I put BF3 aside for ArmA 2 over the past few months.

Arma is definitely worth getting. It takes a bit to get used to the feel/controls but it's much more rewarding that BF games.

Plus in Arma you can drive vehicles and they feel quite realistic, I use a joystick with a plane/heli and I love it.
