Though the final specifications are not known, it is rumored the HD 7990 will feature a core clock of 850 MHz, memory clock of 1250 MHz (5 GHz effective), 6 GB GDDR memory (3 GB per GPU), with 384-bit (x2) memory bus. It will be based on a PCIe 3.0 interface and support for DirectX 11.0 and OpenGL 4.0. In addition, the card will include 62 compute units for a total of 4096 (2048 x2) stream processors, 256 (128 x2) texture units and 64 (932 x2) full color ROPs.

I'm interested to see the battle between the 7990 and the 690. I think the 690 will win.

I can't see this being less than $700 while the 7970 is $550. With the recent leaks, the GTX 680 outperforms the 7970 which will hopefully force the price down, subsequently allowing AMD to release this monster at the 6990 price point.

I can without a doubt say that this is false. There's simply no way nvidia has magically engineered a single gpu card in the past 2 years that would smoke amd's current flagship doubled up.

Dual GK104 cards should surface within the next two months.

I'd be game for a dual-GPU card if they could tame the heat and noise output. It should come with a cooler reminiscent of the Windforce X3 or Accelero Xtreme.
