As we near the release date of the nVidia GTX 680, more and more charts are surfacing with purported performance, specifications, and the like. Today is no exception. There appears to be 6 new benchmarks run on the card, using an extreme-cooled Intel Core i7-3960X Extreme Edition processor (running at stock frequency), ASUS Rampage IV Extreme motherboard, 8 GB (4x 2 GB) GeIL EVO 2 DDR3-2200 MHz quad-channel memory, Corsair AX1200W PSU, and Windows 7 x64.

Holy repost Batman.
You didn't see the 3 other threads with the same benchmarks?

7990 is supposed to be a dual GPU card anyways. Not the same category.
Why would they use that type of cooling on the cpu only to run it at stock?

What a shocker a dual GPU card is faster than a single card? I never knew that rolleyes.gif What will happen once the nVidia releases a dual GPU card based on the Kepler? Less power consumption and maybe 10%-15% faster than the 7990?

9800 GX2 > ATI 3870 x2
GTX 285 > ATI 4890
GTX 295 > ATI 4870 x2
GTX 480 > ATI 5870 (GTX 480 was abut 15-20% faster than the ATI 5870 but consumed more power and was loud)
ATI 5970 > ALL nVidia cards that generation
GTX 580 > AMD 6970
GTX 590 < AMD 6990 (Very close but the GTX 590 had many issues)

History shows that nVidia's single GPU card performance is always better but the past 2 generations AMD has had the fastest dual GPU card. Maybe this year because nVidia's Kepler is more efficient they will release a dual GPU card that performs very well.

Because the Tweak Town author " Trace Hagan " makes mistake. Its running at 5.0 GHz.. I cant understand how its makes this amount of bandwidth (192 GB/s) and is only 256 bit bus. I dont buy 256 bit video cards. Just imagine what the 384 bit card will do, wooot.

It's not even his article, man.

Look at the source's source.

I know, right?

The news section is full of people who have forgotten this rule.
