After all, you can just find another job, right? Sure, if one employer can get away with it, they will all soon follow suit, but you can still suck up to the few who still offer 2 bucks an hour for filling out online surveys all day.

Got to love silly analogies that have no relevance to the topic at hand from PC gamers trying hard to justify their whining over a developer stating they're supporting our platform properly. rolleyes.gif

Like I said, I don't know why they waste the time and effort on some of you. You just don't deserve it. You complained, they listened, they fixed it, and yet rather than at least be happy they learnt from their mistakes and corrected their previous errors you still complain, and *****, because they didn't do it the first time.

Re-introducing a few basic, fundamental, years old PC gaming standards to what will otherwise inevitably still be a console port isn't "supporting our platform properly". It's scraping by with the bare minimum that people will buy after stating their disappointment over the previous title.

Should I rejoice when a car company claiming to have learned from past mistakes re-introduces a break petal after omitting it the previous year's model, or should I scoff at the claim when the steering wheel is still woefully omitted?

Perhaps the problem here isn't that everyone else is self entitled, but rather that you are a baying sheep afraid to buck against a trend. It's people like you who have let PC gaming digress to the point where offering "mouse accessible menus", "remapping key-bindings" and a GUI is a marketing point.

Improving a pile of trash by tossing a bucket of isopropyl on it would certainly sanitize it, but I still wouldn't pay 60 bucks for it. I'll complain as much as is justified.

You can't compare this game to a pile of trash, seeing as it isn't out yet. It's a little early to judge it, don't you think? It may just be worth 60 bucks, or it may not.

Personally, I don't think any game is worth 60 bucks. I paid 40 for BF3 on launch, played 2 hours of it. Paid 50 for BC2 and have played about 60 hours of it, 40 for BF2 with 100 hours clocked. The GTA series, however, has been the best spent money on games so far, with countless hours of San Andreas, Vice City, Liberty City and GTA 2 on PS2 and GTA IV on PC.

I did not play the first borderlands, so i wouldn't know, but thus far this seems like a great game, just judging on this little love letter. Won't be paying 60 bucks for it though, no matter how good it may be.

Haha love Borderlands! Definitely a day one buy, just waiting for the local shop to get it on pre-order.

I think the real problem is you feel Offline LAN mode or an FOV slider is as vital to PC gaming as a steering wheel is to a car (or a break pedal). This more like you complaining that you've been buying cars, and they've all come with power-locks and windows, and then all of a sudden manufacturers stopped including them and made you go back to manual windows and locks, and now that they've heard people complaining about since their last release, they're letting you know that they're putting power-lock and windows back into their newest car, and you still complain about it, saying that it should not even be necessary to mention because it should have never been omitted in the first place.

If they didn't mention it, you'd be no doubt complaining because they haven't said anything about it and would assume that they wouldn't have any of this stuff in this one since it wasn't in the last. Hence, the announcement. It's not a "Hey look how awesome we are! We're giving you all these things you asked for!" it's more like "Hey, we heard your complaints. Don't worry, this stuff will be included properly, we DO care about you guys. Oh and we decided to have FUN with the announcement... I know, it's unheard of nowadays. Everything is 'srs bsnss'."

Well, you're in good luck cause Borderlands 2 isn't being released until September, so you've get plenty of time to save up for that $60. It'll be fine for me as well since I don't have the money to throw down $60 on a new game right now either.

Why can't all companies so this? This is so awesome. I never even played borderlands but I will now.
