okay so a while back i asked about a GPU back block and was told they don't exist so i designed my own to keep my VRM away from melt down when even just gaming, does this look like it may work?

Just as ronnin426850 said, would be nice to be able to get a feel for the size of the block, like on a dummy PCB or such thing. If you're not using Sketchup, give me a PM and i could send a GTX260 i made in Autodesk Inventor, either as STP or IAM file depending on what program you are using. thumb.gif

I think that would work our really nice, since you had done the proper height differences so it won't short out the backside of the card. Just one question, where are the fittings supposed to be on the block? Or is it a air cooling solution? (my english might be the culprit, as i think block as in waterblock and the design confirms my thoughts)

hmmm looking at the vrm bock its had to see how you would add a top to it. It seem it would be preferable to have a wall around the whole block and then just have a plastic top with two points to in/out take water much just like most large MB blocks sorry hard to explain.

honestly I would be inclined to mount a block to backplate rather than building my own block surely you could just mount a ddc top on the backplate by just drilling some holes in it would look a tad ghetto but should work smile.gif

The inlet and outputs will be on the outside of the block so that the inlet comes straight off of my 580's full cover block then the outlet will be more to the back of the card this is just a rough design estimate.
