Do any of the current owners of the XL2420 have any complaints?

Some. Besides the fact that profiles are limited to certain functions:

The gaming profiles actually make near blacks darker, while making dark grays brighter, meaning that a properly adjusted standard profile is sometimes better if the area is dark enough. Vents in CSS Nuke is one of those examples. If we had proper gamma control, we could make them better.

The Senseye demo feature coincidentally improves this situation, but it can't be enabled for the full screen on the gaming profiles.

What problems are these?

Which are? I'm planning to buy this monitor as well but can't afford to have even such minor problems since I will use it here in the Philippines.

I just explained what my complaints are. I dislike the way the profiles work.

Welli had an hanns g h191a 19" before this; which i was quite impressed but i needed a 1920x1080 and the h191a was only 1440x900 so i upgraded to some asus monitor however it was poop all sorts of colour problmes, ghosting dots everywhere etc sent it back got a full refund of £160 so i decided i would not go cheap and invested in the BENQ XL2420T and i dont regret it at all it does what its suppose too.

What profile do you guys use for games, movies, browsing?

I use Standard (mapped to gamer 1, though) for anything where natural colors are a priority = anything not gaming. Still deciding on calibration.
For gaming, FPS1/2 and RTS are practically the same, but with different black eQ levels. If you want the black eQ, use one of these. If not, these will be too dark with black eQ disabled and Standard with AMA and Instant Mode would be superior.

No matter what profile you choose, make sure to turn down brightness to less than 50. Anything above 50 will kill your eyes. As you can see in the first post, TFT Central actually turned it down to 5 brightness and measured that 0 brightness is the 120 cd/m2 recommended for office use.

I have the usb hub plugged in, on the back and I think that is all I need right? The 2 usbs work that are right above it. Let me know if you guys think its a setting or something. Thank you.
