Few questions, why does everywhere tell you to lower brightness so much? I find this monitor to be fairly dark as it is?

0-10 brightness is suited for typical office work and night use (no lights on). Anything higher is very bright. Like, eye schorching bright at more than 50.

Unless they changed it in a later revision.

My brightness is at 90 and I still don't think its that bright???

BRIGHTNESS = 90
CONTRAST = 50
SHARPNESS = 5
GAMMA = 5
COLOUR TEMP = R=93 G=97 B=98

brightness less than 50 for me everything looks dull and blacks are so dark they make daytime scenes look like dusk!

ALSO it seems to take awhile to pick up DVI link, for example I turn my PC on and its booted before the screen displays anything....is that normal???

Brightness 90 is too bright for normal use. You may not see it, but it's been tested many times and it is too bright. That's not to say it's gonna hurt your eyes in a brightly lit room or anything, it's just way too bright.

My bad, Picture mode reverted back to 'Gamer 1' which is why it was different!
