BenQ XL2410/11/20 Club - Page 55

Unfortunately I didn't test any consoles but I would imagine the same settings would work well.

I am looking into getting a 120hz monitor, seems like the benq has good reviews. My question is it really worth it, my gpu is the radeon hd 7870.

If you have been playing on a 60hz monitor, you will notice a huge difference IMO.

I bought the TX model and with the 3D I am satisfied. Compared to my old glossy screen HP w2007 some colors aren't there, just not vibrant enough. Comparing them cloned in gaming the 120hz certainly outweighs the colors being a little off but in BF3 the blues aren't blue enough, lean toward purple too much, and BF3 uses a lot of blue.

The exterior design and features of the monitor are great, black equalizer especially, and compared to others it wins but I haven't tried any of the other 120hz monitors to actually compare. But based off some reviews on Newegg they all seem to lack in color vibrancy.

Looking at the xl2520t im wondering how the colors are, are viewing angles acceptable, and does it look good when just simply browsing the web? A buddy of mine has a matte monitor and youtube videos and web pages look kinda cartoony.

Problem is I have a radeon card and i wanted to take advantage of 3d, but i wont be able to do that if i get this monitor.

I am tempted to buy a 2420t today, but I am doing my best to hold out through cyber Monday in the off chance that a retailer will have it on sale. One way or another, I will own one of these monitors in the near future and I am pretty pumped!

Right for those of you looking to buy, I've owned my XL2420 for 3 weeks now and I can honestly say its amazing. Going from 60hz to 120hz is like buying a new graphics card or processor. It practically solved micro stuttering , everything moves so much smoother and the colours are so nice once you get used to it. Out of the box it doesn't look great, but with PC Monitors settings on Page 1 it looks fantastic. I can now run all my games without vsync and I get no screen tear and silky smooth performance. With 60hz I used to get tear all the time, micro stutter and motion just didn't feel right. With 120hz games really shine. Even moving the mouse around the screen you can notice a big difference between 60hz and 120hz.

On the desktop it looks good, very slightly washed out but nothing I wouldn't class as unacceptable.

Xbox 360 via HDMI was a little blurry but I discovered setting sharpness to 10 (which is max setting) makes everything crystal clear. Graphics on xbox look so much better with this monitor compared to my last.

The monitor itself is really well designed, it can move in every way thinkable and I love the fact it has a height adjuster on it just by pulling up or pushing down so when I use my Logitech G25 wheel I can push the monitor up, sit low at the desk and still see the full screen. Before the wheel blocked my view of the bottom quarter of the screen and I couldn't sit comfortably. F1 2012 with this monitor and setup is just beautiful.

I picked mine up for £272 which I thought was a bargain.

Not tried 3D yet, but did see it in store with a pair of original NVidia 3d glasses and it looked awesome. Would love to try it out with a pair of the 2nd gen glasses NVidia have released.

When I first got it I was blown away, then I was a little disappointed at sharpness and colours but once I tried the PC Monitor settings as described in the OP, I fell in love and have been ever since. Best purchase since my GTX 670.
