It is normal, leave the contrast alone, it is set perfectly by default.

I think this might interest you guys VERY much, how would you like your monitor to be as fast as a CRT ? Impossible? Not anymore people claim wink.gif
Take a look at this thread: http://www.overclock.net/t/1339384/zero-motion-blur-lcd-nvidia-lightboost2-hack-looks-like-crt-looks-like-480hz

Remember to share your results, and PS if anyone finds out how to use the tweak (use NVidia lightboost 2 without any IR transmitter to set it up) please PM me i would love to see this in action for myself thumb.gif

Well, a friend of mine told me his XL2420T doesn't do that change of colors when raising the contrast sadsmiley.gif

Can someone more confirm that for me?

Hey guys I just got one of these Benq monitors after hearing such great praise over them from my friends, and while so far I think its an amazing monitor I cannot access all of the monitors settings. No matter what mode I'm in i cannot adjust anything in the display menu or most of the color settings like saturation and hue. I tried it connected through HDMI and every things greyed out. I currently have it connected through DVI and everything remains greyed out. I read through the whole damn manual and it doesn't say why options would be unavailable other than installing the driver which was the first thing I did. I would really like to change some of these settings so if someone could give me some advice I'd appreciate it greatly.

Just got my XL2420T last week... Very happy with it, I'm going to start trying to mess with the calibration... smile.gif

So I bought one of these, but there seems to be dark bands which you can only see in dark areas in games or on a black screen (possibly due to the blacklight?) at 3.5 inches and 9.5 inches from the bottom of the screen or so.

Was wondering if anyone else noticed these on their monitor, or if I have a faulty monitor.

So I have this monitor for a week now... But I can not edit the GAMMA option in OSD menu...
And I see people talking, and on the Benq website, about Picture Mode, and the pictures of it are showing Standard, Movies, Photo, FPS1, FPS2 etc...
I only got Gamer1, Gamer2, Gamer3, thats it... Dono why that is. Can anyone tell me how to get it?

It's connected with the DVI cable it came with.
Also; hen I look at pictures, or colors fading, lets say from light to dark, I see squared, not fluid transitions of the colors.

I hope anyone can help me.

Thanks.

Have you tried the TFT Central Calibration settings and the icc profile in the OP of this thread?

I don't have this monitor but I have been following it and wanting to purchase one once I can afford to, so I have an idea of what to do when I finally do get one wink.gif

Thanks.

Try to set to standard mode, then go 1 step back and go to menu and then try to change it. Then save to a gamer profile.

Does that work?

Got his monitor 2day by the way. Loving it already.
