That said, older cards won't get the framerates necessary to benefit the most from LightBoost. The difference between CRT vs LCD is most amplified when framerates matches refresh rates, and the same is true for LightBoost. Otherwise, you get too much stutter/judder (even at the micro level) to benefit from the LightBoost effect.

Depending on whether it's a G80 or a G92, it's from either 2006 or 2007.

Aha, that feels like 3 centuries ago in "GPU years". wink.gif

Then enable LightBoost and use LightBoost OSD=10%

Using LightBoost=10% is much dimmer than Brightness=0%

CallSignVega uses that for his triple surround-LightBoost setup on the VG248QE (uses same panel as XL2411T); he hates excess brightness too. Although some people prefer it bright... I personally use LightBoost=50%

I have a really weird problem with my XL2420T which is attached to a GIGABYTE GTX 460 via dual link DVI.

When I turn my PC off the monitor turns on by itself after ~20 minutes and says "no signal found" and goes into standby again.
Minutes later it happens again. I already tried disconnecting the USB cable but it did not fix it.

What is this?
What if you remove the DVI cable does it still does it? Just curious if it is the monitor waking itself up or if you psu is sending voltage to the gpu and waking up the monitor.

Also another thing to try. make sure you clean off the area around the touch buttons. Someone had posted earlier in this thread, (back when this was started) that the left over oil's from finger prints were making the touch sensitive buttons bug out.

Lucky you, first one 3 dead pixels, second had unusual artifacts on display when running in 120hz mode and third yet again had dead pixels. Unfortunately its the second replacement that Amazon has sent me and so I have to get a refund and just buy another one because they can't send any more replacements. Seriously disappointed in the QC at BenQ luckily for them the monitor is exceptional in every other respect and so I will give it one more try.

The glasses lights up green, the monitor lights up green, but there is no 3D effect even in the setup wizard itself. What could be wrong here? I'm using the latest 314.14 BETA drivers from NVIDIA. It was working flawlessly a few months ago.

EDIT: I tested using the 314.07 WHQL drivers and it worked! Do you guys experience the same 3D problems with the latest BETA drivers from NVIDIA?

BUMP!
