So as my QcK heavy is getting old i was thinking wich mousepad should i geT? I loved the QcK heavy but i wanna try something new. I need a big mousepad and a tall one for my wrist . The mousepad must work great with the following mices : G400 , MX518 , intellimouse 1.1a and diamondback 3g.

Can you give me some names of mousepads that are similar to qck heavy? thanks

goliathus speed, puretrak talent, roccat taito
but they are all faster than qck
imo you should get another qck heavy, maybe a painted one like the tyloo edition

Puretrak. I think it's more durable than the Qck, plus I prefer the greater length.

yea i got 2 puretraks cuz i KNEW its the best mousepad ever produced !! my qck heavy, which i loveeeed alot is now in the locker : ( but puretrak is just better ! its surface is just perfekt for mouse and wrist !

needs more pads like the QcK+ with the additional length to place your arm imo. Too many pads like the goliathus/puretrak talent that are only 350mm in length as opposed to the QcK+'s 400mm in length.

I'm with ich1ban on this. I prefer the QCK Heavy over the Talent because I can lay it 90 degrees clockwise so my arm has a comfortable place to lay upon. And that way I still have 40cm from left to right which is quite enough. I played with the talent but with the turning of the pad I lose too much space in the horizontal. In it's normal position it's just too high/fat to comfortably play because the arm or wrist is constantly swiping across the edge of the pad. Either the pad is low profile like a QCK+ or G-TF Speed, or when it's high/fat you can lay more than just your hand on it. The HD-like format looks nice sure, but it really was uncomfortable for me.

talking about around an inch more on the qck than the talent in height. i move my mouse side to side, not up and down. i also play with a low sensitivity as i suspect most people who buy these pads do as well. so an inch in either direction isn't going to mean really anything. thickness? well thats a personal preference.

my personal preference: talent hands down. qck isnt consistent enough and wears down after about 6 months. or at least the 2 i had before the talents did! doing a little research and i found the qck is made out of plain ol polyester. nothing else which is prob why it wears so quickly.rolleyes.gif

That extra inch doesnt seem much but it actually makes a lot of difference as it covers the elbow to my palm which the goliathus/talent does not.

Also the goliathus and talent don't track as well sideways(vertically), probably to do with the weaving direction creating a lower malfunction speed on the mouse (IO1.1/Zowie AM/SS Kana tested.)

Although I do agree that the other pads are better quality and feel smoother than the QcK if height isn't required.
