Sounds good. It looks like there is a much larger community of T3i owners too!

well yea. a larger canon community and lots of t3i owners out there. at the professional level a lot of people have both because they have different specialty when it comes to photography. a lot of video people put nikon lenses on their canons and have multiple different canon cameras because each one handles each situation differently.

So as for the two different lenses for the t3i that I carted, what is the difference? What are they ideal for? Do you know any beginning prosumer guides, video tutorials or anything specified for the T3i?

they should have a "T3i for dummies" book

difference between the lenses is the 18-55 is wide so you can do landscapes with it and in the middle have a wide enough shot to frame an interview. 55-250 is a telephoto basically so for far away wildlife nature stuff or general far away stuff.
