1) HardOCP. What? Can't have a different choice? I like their articles, and the community is great as well. OCN comes in a very close second, but it's harder on the eyes for me since the update.

2) I first tried overclocking on a socket 478 2.4 Celeron. I could only get it to 2.7ghz before it would croak.

Very cool way of asking the questions thumb.gif

1. OCN FTW! I just love the wealth of information on here and the members are helpful and friendly (for the most part biggrin.gif). I like the layout too (although the new layout took some time to grow on me). It was also the resource I used to do my first overclock.

2. The i5 2500k in my current rig. Results were 4.5 GHz @ 1.34V cooled by a Hyper 212+. Finding stability was a frustrating process especially since I didn't really know what I was doing at first. But it was definitely fun and just had to move on to overclocking my GPU as well.

1) I would probably say Overclock.net is the best overclocking website, from the knowledgeable community answering questions to providing news and information, probably the best collection of information on the topic biggrin.gif

2) The first thing I ever "overclocked" would be a 486 to make it run in "turbo" mode biggrin.gif and it didn't seem to make a difference at all. As a side note, that machine ran Arkanoid Revenge of Doh like a champ!

OCN obviously. This is the greatest computing site ever. Whenever I have a problem I ask here and everyone is soooo helpful and informative smile.gif it's great thumb.gif I check OCN everyday to look at the latest hardware news and help people out with their computing problems if I can.

My 2500k was my first overclock. I had no idea what I was doing so I registered here and everyone helped me out, it was so easy. I got it to 4.5ghz @ 1.29v. I haven't tried going higher because 4.5 seems fast enough for me. Maybe I'll try to push it farther in the future rolleyes.gif

In your own words what is the best overclocking website? Why?
The best overclocking website would be Overclock.net. I've received more tips that just overclocking here than anywhere else. I could've gone and signed up to any website but I chose here.

What was the first thing you overclocked? What were the results?
My phenom II x4 955 BE to 3.6 Ghz.

1. Overclock.net because theres tons of information here. I learned allot about building computers and overclocking.
2. AMD Radeon 6870. Got the GPU to 965Mhz and the memory to 1200Mhz stable.

1) Of course OCN biggrin.gif it's an amazing site, great people, awesome community. Helped me with loads of things.

2) My first OC ever was actually my phone biggrin.gif Motorola DROID, OCed to over 1GHz, I think about 1.5 or so. Now I have a Galaxy Nexus @ 1.35 and a Xoom at 1.7 thumb.gif
My first real PC OC was my MSI N560GTX-ti, currently running at around 1000MHz on the core, and the FPS jump in BF3 was significant enough for me to have a massive smile on my face for the rest of the day (till it got too hot and I had to go buy a couple more fans laughingsmiley.gif

1) Overclock.net definitely. No other website has made me go from a i7 960 at stock with a HDD to a watercooled i7 2600k at 4.5Ghz watercooled with an EX rad, with Lutro0 extensions, MSI Lightning Xtreme, with a Essense Soundcard, with an ATH M50, and a Filco Mech Keyboard. Its the only place where I get help for anything tech so quickly and also the place where I came from not knowing anything about computers to being the go-to PC tech guy in class in less than a year.

And it's the only place where people knows how to answer a question with only numbers in it smile.gif

2) First thing I overclocked was My Palit GTX 580.
@ 960Mhz with 1.sth volts.
