Well I only play a few games so I shouldn't really say that. I really don't have any apparent MS on any game that I play.

I noticed on EK's site that they already have a page setup for the "Kepler 6x0 Series"... spotted it when I was adding a crap load of shiz to my cart for my next build.
However I could be wrong, and EK may have been doing this (getting pages ready beforehand) for a while, but I don't go to their site very often so thought I might as well point it out.

I'm pretty sure they have a reference template already.

Microstutter is real and exists in all multi-gpu configs, though it seems worst in 2-way setups. Speaking from experience, my 5970 ran bf3 at a constant 90fps but the game just didn't feel smooth. Disabling sli cut my fps in half, but the game actually felt more responsive and smoother.

90FPS is half way between a monitors 60Hz and/or 120Hz though. If your not using vsync, that will feel stuttery on a single GPU set up because of the offset.
And the 3-way is probably providing higher FPS making the stuttering less apparent.

I've never heard of stuttering just because you aren't at 60FPS or 120FPS, I assume you mean tearing. 90FPS should feel fine on a 60hz or 120hz monitor, you just might get some screen tearing if you don't have vsync enabled. It's nothing like microstuttering, which actually makes your FPS seem much lower than it really is.

Tearing at 90FPS is pretty bad from my view point.
I could imagine microstuttering + peak tearing would make something unplayable.

I love how you guys are trying to convince us that our setups actually suck, we just don't know any better. rolleyes.gif I swear its like the single GPU zealots are on some kind of crusade to prove that SLI/CF setups suck but I assure you I am 100% totally satisfied with my SLI 580's and there is nothing you can say to change that....

I don't think a single person in this thread has ever claimed your setup sucks or tried to tell anyone that their multi gpu setup sucks. I'm not sure where you are getting that impression. Many people do not like dual GPU setups because of the microsuttering they experience on them, and that's all anyone was ever saying here. There's also many people that enjoy their SLI setups.

If you are 100% satisfied with your SLI setup, that's great. I don't see why you feel the need to defend yourself against us "single GPU zealots" if you truely are happy with your setup. Don't let other people tell you what you should and should not enjoy, everyone has their opinions. tongue.gif

Yeah in fact I'm jealous of people that don't see micro stuttering. Not so much because of their framerates but the fact you can push really high IQ settings. In fact anything over 60 is not that important to me but 4XSSAA is. Some people don't notice tearing, or mouse lag or whatever else it is. These people are lucky.

Anyway I wouldn't even say I'd never go CF/SLI again. What I do know for sure though is I'll only do it with top of the line cards that won't let me drop below 60 ever. 55FPS on dual GPUs is awful. My thought going forward though is maybe I'll get a 7990. I've heard MS is much less noticible on tri-fire.

I have never had micro stutter once, i do have a friend with dual 6950's in crossfire and i did notice his system does have microstutter on BF3 and only BF3. Im curious why he gets it and i dont on my dual 580 lightnings, luck maybe?
