RAM Help

Need help deciding what RAM I should get for my build:

Mob: Asus Sabertooth X79 Quad Channel Ram 8x240pin
Cpu: Intel i7-3820 OC @ 4.2GhZ

I have about $80+/- To spend on RAM but I don't know if I should go for more Ram or Faster Ram? I'm going to use my computer for a good bit of everything. Including Video editing and rendering. As well as gaming, animation, Adobe stuff, and game development kits. Can someone help me chose?

I was going to go for 16GB of DDR3 1600 RAM. Dunno 8x2GB, or 4x4GB.
or
get like 8GB of 1866??
What should I get? It doesn't have to be either of these two.

Honestly dunno what amount I should get? I want it to last a long time and be fast/work well with my X79. But I do want at least 1600 or greater. If someone would care to explain the difference or what benefits I would get out of either choice I'm open to any and all help. (I'm still learning all about computers, I can do a bunch of stuff while its working but have average idea what makes everything work together inside. So please explain in simple terms if you can. Or not, just answer if you have too)

If possible please try to chose one from www.microcenter.com. I have a friend who can get me a discount so unless there is a good sale on RAM at microcenter that is running until at very least April 1st then chose from there if possible.

-Thanks!

DDR3-1600 is fine. Going any higher won't bring significant improvements.

Nevermind. I hear the RAM above (corsair XMS) is actually pretty cheap for price as well as quality. I guess ill have to get it from newegg as well. Does anybody think that this:

-G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Low Voltage Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9Q-16GBXM

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231478

It's got very low voltage, 16GB of ram, and a nice look to it that would match my case well. Would it work ok in a X79?

-Thanks!
